PG Blitz is part of the transport system that was developed later on for PlexGuide. PG Blitz is an evolution of FlickerRate’s PG SuperTransfer 2. In observing the code, it was quite complex to understand and was overhauled. With Physik’s assistance, he further streamlined PG Blitz. As the name demonstrates, PG Blitz was developed to exceed the 750GB daily upload cap that was implemented on auser’s Google Drive. PG Blitz is a-bit more involved compared to PG Move. PG move is dead simple in that it just requires setting rclone and then deploying the drives. PG Blitz utilizes a series of keys and team drives to help exceed the 750GB cap. Basically, a shared user (one that was establish) will upload 740GB. When near the 750GB cap, PG Blitz will switch to the next shared user (next one that was established) and start the process of uploading. PG Blitz will allow you to upload 15TB of data a day, but 1-3TB’s is more realistic with someone with a 1GB connection; while utilizing USENET. Below, we will talk about the pros and cons of PG Blitz over PG Move:
Advantages of PG Blitz over PG Move:
- Can exceed the 750GB daily upload cap
- Faster upload due to not tricking (Blitz means to raid in a hasty manner)
Disadvantages of PG Blitz over PG Move:
- More complicated to setup
- Encryption cannot be used
- No Bandwidth Controls; so can congest a network with a small upload speeds
- Pushes items to Team Drives instead of your standard Google Drive.
