Finding Test Cases to Automate

  1. Go to HipTest: HipTest - MSI
    • if you don't have access to MSI at HipTest, please request it in #msi or #msi-mftf-testing slack channels.
  2. It's better to choose a High Severity scenario for automation.
    • High Severity: severity:s0, severity:s1
    • Lower Severity: severity:s2, severity:s3, severity:s4
    • Unknown Severity: severity:s? (Some test cases were not triaged yet) Automation Status
  3. Make sure that "AutomationStatus" tag to the scenario in HipTest is None or Skipped. This means that described flow is not automated at all or existing test needs maintenance. ZenHub Automation Status
  4. File ticket in Magento Inventory issue tracker describing the test automation flow and link to the HipTest.
