File Share analysis

Purpose

Series of tools report on and visualise file shares. It came about as a result of not having the time to do it through the File Explorer menu.

Possible use cases:

• See what is on a file share
• Generate reports on inventory
• Generate new features
• Export to database
• Pre work to Migration
• Development of a taxonomy

Constraints

Not going into any file

Future Work

Possible ways that this could be extended in the future.

• Work out if image is a screenshot or not?
• OCR?
• Finding things you know about (eg Known Knowns)
