biogoo

A color scheme for Vim with colorful text on a light gray background.

Installation

Copy the “biogoo.vim” file from this repository into your ~/.vim/colors directory. (You’ll need to create that directory if it doesn’t already exist.) You can download the file directly from this link.

If you’re using vim-plug to manage plugins, add

Plug 'bdesham/biogoo'

to your vimrc. Other plugin managers probably need a similar invocation.

Compatibility

Biogoo works in GUI Vim and in 256-color terminals. It should work with Vim 6 and with any later version.

If you’re using vim-airline, you can find a Biogoo theme in the official vim-airline-themes repository. (The screenshot above demonstrates the vim-airline theme.) To use it, make sure you have both vim-airline and vim-airline-themes installed and run

:AirlineTheme biogoo

Etymology

I was originally going to make a color scheme based on the shades of green I saw in a photo of a slime mold—a biological goo. I ended up using a bunch of different colors instead, but I kept the original name.
