I'm continually inspired by the ever-evolving nature of technology and its potential to positively impact our lives. I recently switched to software development after six years in academic research. I decided to make this switch due to the joy I find in building such interfaces and solving puzzles, and am extremely excited to combine my analytic skills from research with my passion for building meaningful solutions. I love to learn and challenge myself, and my greatest strength is in my continuous striving for excellence & improvement in all that I do.
I'm actively continuing the development of MovieJar, a movie organization and recommendation platform with a working MVP that is accepting real-world users at this time. Before adding additional functionality to this application, I am taking a step back to learn and apply best testing practices using the Jest testing library framework, to bolster the reliability and efficacy of future development. I am so currently learning Ruby / Ruby on Rails.
Outside of development, I find enjoyment in baking, crafts, yoga, and puzzles. I also like to travel, and I love animals and nature.
