A set of tools and conventions for improving the ease of use of HPC facilities -- within both traditional clusters and HPC cloud images.
##What is ClusterWare? ClusterWare has been designed from the ground up with modern day technologies in mind to simplify the deployment and usage of research compute environments, linking many simple but powerful tools together.
Alces ClusterWare is platform agnostic - and can be deployed on your local workstation, public or private cloud providers and baremetal HPC clusters with ease.
##Who is ClusterWare for? ClusterWare has been designed with both administrators and researchers in mind - the deployment tools simplify the method to create a ClusterWare research compute environment, whilst the usability tools assist researchers in quickly getting started with their compute jobs, whilst providing a familiar Linux environment.
##What problem does ClusterWare solve? ClusterWare allows administrators and researchers to deploy and use ClusterWare HPC compute environments in a number of scenarios, either as traditional large shared-resource environments, or as an ephemeral compute environment for a single user.
Through the tools ClusterWare provides, installation and configuration of popular Linux applications is made possible through the Alces GridWare packager - offering over 750 popular applications, libraries and compilers.
Using the ClusterWare tools - administrators and researchers can tailor environments to their own usage requirements without affecting other users and researchers.
