Welcome to the FS22-Wallaloo wiki!
Wallaloo is a district in western Victoria, Australia, between Marnoo, Stawell and Kanya. It provides an interesting diversion to the standard EU / US / UK maps as it has a distinctively different crop rotation, climate and experience. This area is characterised by low rain falls, dried vegetation and large animal grazing areas. The wider area in western Victoria has also experienced an uptake of new crops such as vineyards, representing a divergence from the classic grains and grazing.

The purpose of this map project is to bring the region to life in a way that all FS22 players can enjoy a different farming opportunity. All normal FS22 base game options are intended to be available, and not to be restrictive to the actual farming history of the area. Where appropriate, some measure of tailoring can be looked at for non-traditional crops to offer 'what-if' scenarios consistent with the theme, however these must be balanced with options that will still allow players to fairly and enjoyably farm all crops.
A large target area would stretch from the Bolangum railway station to the west of Wallaloo, out to the Mount Bolangum Nature Reserve in the east. This would broadly cover the towns of Wallaloo, Wallaloo East and Kanya, with rail, river and forestry. This would most likely require a 4x or 16x map size, as this area is broadly 15km north to south and east to west, and will require compaction to ensure map remains playable and fun.
A side objective is to make this map distinctive different from the existing Western Australia / Southern Cross Station maps, which are characterised by enormous fields and distances.
