Get Timestamp

Open a media view from an internal/external link, then you can use the following method to get the timestamp from the current time in the player:

  • via Command Palette: type in Get timestamp from player
  • via keyboard shortcut (need to be set manually in hotkey manager)
  • Click on the ⭐ button on the header of the media view

❗️Note: To get the command shown in Command Palette, the media view should be linked with the note that takes timestamps as mentioned here. This is done automatically if the media view is opened from links in notes. If you open files from file explorer, this should be done manually.

Timestamp template

You can set the template for inserted timestamps in the setting tab. Currently only {{TIMESTAMP}} is supported, feel free to request more options in here
