Ideal Distance Error

- ideal distance error is typically ~0.3 (not 0.0)
- ideal distance error depends on volume and number of triangles
Although the green surface is visually a better representation of the mask's shape, since the red surface's vertices stick to the voxel boundary, its distance error is undesirably small. This problem is also apparent by how the red surface's smoothness error is large.
