Eco-Libre Launch-Nest

This repo contains designs for a 5-story building that's designed to house 30 people in a small, off-grid community.

The structure itself is 18 meters x 7 meters and has 5 stories of walled living space (630 sq meters). This does not include the solar energy rooftop, 5th floor terrace, wrap-around balcony, or firewalled stairwells.

Basement

  1. Food storage
  2. Small urine sump tank & pump
  3. Event Room (Theater, Presentation, Dance, Party, etc)
  4. Recording Studio

1st Floor

  1. Kitchen
  2. Barrier-free bedroom (6 beds)
  3. Shower room
  4. Laundry Room
  5. Medium-sized thermal salt tank
  6. Large urine WC

2nd Floor

  1. 2x Bedrooms (4 beds each = 8 people)
  2. Ramp to terrace
  3. Covered outdoor bicycle parking on terrace
  4. Hot Water Tank (directly above showers)
  5. Medium-sized thermal salt tank (next to hot water tank)
  6. Small Urine WC
  7. Telecommunications & Server Room
  8. 1x meeting room
  9. 1x large meeting room
  10. Lockers and couches

3nd Floor

  1. 2x Bedrooms (4 beds each = 8 people)
  2. Large Urine WC
  3. Library (~12 hot desks)
  4. 2x Meeting Rooms

4th Floor

  1. 2x Bedrooms (4 beds each = 8 people)
  2. Small Urine WC
  3. 1x Meeting Room
  4. Indoor Coworking Space (~20 hot desks)
  5. Snack and Coffee Bar
  6. small-sized thermal salt tank

5th Floor

  1. Open-Air Terrace
  2. Projector & Presentation Space
  3. Battery & Transformer Electrical Room
  4. Large Thermal Salt Tank
  5. Ground-Water Tank
  6. Rain-Water Tank
  7. Filtered Drinking-Water Tank
  8. Primary Urine-Water Tank
  9. Sun Room
  10. Clothes Drying Area

Rooftop

  1. Parabolic Solar Concentrators
  2. Solar Photovoltaic Array
  3. Sloped, Steel-reinforced concrete grid
  4. Sunroof grid
  5. Large overhang of transparent polycarbonate panels
  6. Small pressurized water tank (and pump) for washing solar equipment
