Why CoroutineScope in Test?

is there any specific reason, why you put all the tests in an CoroutineScope?

A lot of our business logic uses coroutines / flow, and all suspend functions need to run in a coroutine scope. The function, runBlocking(), from coroutines-test is not multiplatform yet (Issue: Kotlin/kotlinx.coroutines#1996)
Hence, we have an Android implementation of this expect class (https://github.com/touchlab/KaMPKit/blob/main/shared/src/commonTest/kotlin/co/touchlab/kampkit/BaseTest.kt) that uses runBlocking() here: https://github.com/touchlab/KaMPKit/blob/main/shared/src/androidTest/kotlin/co/touchlab/kampkit/BaseTest.kt, and an iOS implementation that achieves a similar here: https://github.com/touchlab/KaMPKit/blob/main/shared/src/iosTest/kotlin/co/touchlab/kampkit/BaseTest.kt
And that way, our tests can run against Android and iOS targets.

Ah ok! I was thinking, that there is maybe a reason to put also non suspend functions into it, because of maybe a good practice pattern or so.

That's a fair point. Not every function within those blocks is a suspend fun; those could be outside of runTest.
