Taarifa is a great technical platform, but it does require some nominal training, which we've tried to make fun and useful. There are several ways to make use of the training module. The first two, outlined here, have to do with pervasive games and facilitated workshops. A pervasive game might occur at a larger event, where you don't have everyone's dedicated attention for a specific amount of time. The recommended method is through a facilitated workshop, in which you have the focused attention of trainees for about two hours. In both cases, you'll need some supplies, and you should take your attendees through either asynchronous (in the case of the pervasive game) or or facilitated discussion points.
