I have only personally tested using the builtin webserver interface on my IP camera. In the 'reset password' workflow it will prompt for a security code. You can find more details from the hikvision support article. AS for the iVMS software... according to the documentation, it looks like you can get to this via I haven't tried actually resetting, but I downloaded the iVMS software and this seems like it would work. Here are some screenshots. You'd put the security code in the above text box. Let me know if you manage to get this to work or have any issues. |

@techbliss I can only imagine that this is because the This PDF also contains some additional relevant information. It mentions that the popup window may be different based on the camera. From this information, I might conclude that the password resetting method this tool was intended for is not compatible with your equipment :( |
