Hi there! My name is Jacob Alzén and I am a Computer Science and Engineering student from Sweden. I have multiple years of experience in various programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, and C++ to name a few. My knowledge of operating systems includes Linux, FreeBSD, macOS and Windows.

Join me in my efforts for building reliable and secure open-source software that everyone can enjoy.   • Part of the core team of the fyne-io/fyne GUI toolkit. Working on improving the codebase and upstream bug fixes and new features where possible.
  • Rymdport: A cross-platform application for easy encrypted file, folder, and text sharing between devices.

Previous work

  • Sparta: A private and secure platform for saving and keeping track of exercises and other sport activities. Built in Go using the Fyne toolkit, AES-256 encryption and Argon2 password hashing.
  • Package maintainer for the Solus Linux distribution.
  • Community moderator and translator for the Brave web browser. I helped translate the entire browser to Swedish and worked as a moderator in the community forums.
