need help with kibana v6.8.4

Hi,
I tried several of the plugin versions you have released and it looks like none of these work out of box with kibana v6.8.4 from security onion. it works just fine if I go to a 6.7.1 version of kibana or 7.4.1 but I'd like to not have to set up a second instance just for this.
Do you have any pointers on what I can do to get this running? so far in developer console I see a lot of: "TypeError: Cannot read property 'es' of null" when trying your plugin with version 6.8.4 of kibana.
