Why does this repo include a node package definition?

Taking a dependency on this repo created a warning for my project because it includes this package.json file and we weren't pulling it from a managed feed; looking at the file history, I'm assuming this was an accidental inclusion, but I'm new to Go and want to make sure there's nothing I'm missing. I don't know of any reason why an npm configuration file should exist for a Go package
