The clipboard in Jammy64 behaves weirdly; weirdly as in not being able to copy images, and forgetting the copied text after closing the application from which it was copied. Also, the current clipboard manager (if there is any) does not show clipboard history on the task-bar.

My suggestion is to use the package Diodon (see also ubuntu packages - diodon) in Jammy64. I've currently tested this on Jammy64's live install by installing it with apt. Requires additional changes in the settings to allow copying images, but that can be handled easily.

If my suggestion gets approved, I can start adding this to Jammy.

You don't need my approval, I'm no longer a members of this project.

And I have no interest in helping add functionality that depends on X.Org, because it's going to die when X.Org dies if it's not abandonware already (diodon is dead for 2y, from what I see).

That's why I've come here to ask before working on any ideas. This is the only small application I could find from my searches, that does the task; but I am sure there might be a better app that does the same which I have not yet found.

BTW, the current Jammy64 is already using X.Org, and unless someone ports it to wayland, there is nothing liable to change. So, it will also die with X.Org.

Which clipboard manager does Jammy64 use right now? Is it maintained?

I don't think JammyPup64 has a clipboard manager included in its Woof-CE build.....
Why not try:

@peabee, thanks for the suggestion. That one works for text, but not for images.

What should be done about this issue then?
