We currently have lots of information about genetic relationships between individuals encoded in the group names (A hack invented in the AADR I believe). We need to move these over to the new Poseidon v2.5 schema columns Relation_To, Relation_Degree and Relation_Note.

We also learned from @dhananjaya93 that there is a dedicated Family status field in the AADR .anno file, which already has some of this information in a semi-structured form.

I suggest copying instead of moving the names for practical reasons. f-statistics and qpAdm uses group_name, we might risk including related individuals in analysis.

Hmm, good point, but worth discussing. The current encoding of relationships in the group names is definitely an eye-sore... how would you copy them? You mean we could come up with new names and simply add them to all, leaving the original ones in?

Hmm...

That's true. I wrote here as a point of discussion. Maybe we can move the relationship info to our new columns and make the group name for these individulas as LBK_rel or LBK_related or something like that?

First 10 relations were updated based on AADR v50 data alongside the log of all the relations found
