Windows Server Core - Connect-PnPOnline -Interactive

I am having an issue using PnP.PowerShell on Windows Server 2019 Core. Attempting to use Connect-PnPOnline -url [sp-url] -Interactive causes the PowerShell.exe process to crash.

Here is more information:
Windows Server 2019 core - no client GUI - fully up to date as of this writing.
PnP.PowerShell Module is installed
Execute Connect-PnPOnline -url [sp-url] -Interactive
WHERE [sp-url] is an applicable SharePoint Online site object.
PowerShell window sits for a minute attempting to do something, then crashes with nothing written to screen. No prompts for authentication are ever delivered as well.

Have no problem running Connect-PnPOnline -url [sp-url] -Interactive on a GUI based install of Windows Server 2019. So I know that I have no problems connecting to SP Online using the cmdlet.

Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Found a solution for anyone who cares:
Use Features On Demand for the corresponding version of Windows Server and add IE 11.
