In next release of the the typing tool support for single and multi FASTA files is desirable allowing to for assembled gp60 or 18S amplicon(s) to be typed assuming one amplicon sequence per sample and tool database.

Behaviour

  • Tool analyzes if input is a single or multi-FASTA file assuming each sequence maps to a single sample
  • Support for multiple files if user specifies directory with FASTA files

Output

  • Tool outputs the same report as for the Sanger ab1 files

Note: The mixed sequences module would not be used, but just direct alignment to database sequences increasing flexibility and more use case scenarios

Hello
It is a great tool. Is it possible to use FASTA/multi-FASTA assemblies as an input to predict Cryptosporidium species and gp60 type?

Thanks
