I currently have a windows pc and I am worried unexpected errors might occur using this on windows.

Specifically windows 7 home basic

I don't have a Windows machine so can't verify it for you, however since this is a pure Python tool it should work. I just don't know if the libusb part works on its own or needs additional libusb installed. Just give it a try.
