• This is legacy code,
• Alot of functions have a call hierarchy to them that would require us to drill the translator function through the call stack.
• alot of constants, & some variables are initialized outside react scope , i.e. not subject to reactivity, e.g in default props.
• Extensive code regressions, we have enough tests to catch this, but there is always the risk that something might slip.

Approaches:

1. Drill a translator T function to all helper functions that require it
2. Have it possible to define functions that are globally accessible to all packages. - using pkg-config, we can make the translator function reachable from any piece of code.
