Clip setting isn't updated when disconnected

Describe the bug
In some cases the clipping needs to be forced on or off. We indicate this by disabling the setting in the UI. However this only happens whilst connected, and things are not updated properly if you change things before or after the connection.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open settings
2. Set "Scaling mode" to "Local scaling"

Expected behavior
Clipping is turned off and disabled.
