Hi Nick,
I'm looking forward to trying out your tool. At the moment, I've just completed the MGSIM install using pip and am running pytest on the test_Reads.py
Attached is the stout from pytest.

Also, do you have a tutorial I could follow?

Thanks for the troubleshooting doc! However, it doesn't provide much info on why the tests are failing. I've updated the tests to print more info for failed tests, which should help.

In regards to a tutorial, the subcommand docs (e.g., MGSIM communities -h) provide a lot of info. You can also use the commands in the ./tests/test_*.py as examples
