This issue has been migrated a new MRTK repository, and the status of this issue will now be tracked at the following location:

Overview

I was unable to bring up hand menu in the samples when the HoloLens 2 wasn't calibrated for my eyes.

Repo

  1. Build Hand Interaction Sample scene in an UWP HoloLens 2 application
  2. Make sure HoloLens 2 isn't calibrated for your eyes. (reset device is the easiest way to clear calibration)
  3. Launch app on HoloLens 2
  4. Try to bring up hand menu
  5. Result -> Hand menu won't appear.

Expected

Hand menu to work even if eyes aren't calibrated

If gaze isn't calibrated, hand menu shouldn't require looking at hand.
