Target is to allow node-mapnik to be compiled easily against a binary packaged mapnik (and all deps) on both OS X, Ubuntu, and Windows using the same .gyp build files

Should unlock easy heroku builds as well.

no longer relevant - node-mapnik now uses mason: mapnik/node-mapnik#738
