Is this extension ready to be installed?

It appears that it does not exist on the npm website, and I cannot find any documentation on how this extension works?

Thanks for the interest. This extension is not ready for general consumption since its seeded from a prototype. There is a companion server extension https://github.com/jupyter/telemetry/ which can provide telemetry events on the Notebook server, and the plan is to add the same functionality to JupyterLab via this repo.
