Description

On the Advanced tab, the first toggle says

Hide application menus when showing menu bar items Make more room in the menu bar by hiding the left application menus if needed

If the Enable always-hidden section is toggled off, application menus do not hide when needed. As soon as I toggle on the always-hidden section (even with nothing in the always-hidden section), then application menus hide appropriately.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Disable Ice Bar in General settings
  2. On Advanced tab, toggle on Hide applications menus
  3. turn off Enable always-hidden section
  4. Bring Finder to the foreground
  5. Assuming you have a lot of menu bar items that would run into the Finder items, the far left menu bar items will not be shown in favor of the Finder menus
  6. Back in Ice Settings, toggle on Enable always-hidden section
  7. Bring Finder to the foreground
  8. Now Finder menus will disappear when Ice menus are shown
