Description

With the Mac OS system setting "displays have separate spaces" disabled, and multiple displays connected, the system menu bar is only visible on the primary display:
image
Ice does not detect this and thinks the menu bar is still available on all displays causing multiple issues:

  • right clicking a window where the menu bar would be open the Ice / Menu bar context menu
image
  • With the Ice setting "Show on hover" enabled, the hidden menu bar items are being shown when hovering the top of the screen on displays without menu bar

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Disable "displays have separate spaces" under "System Preferences" -> "Desktop & Docker" -> "Mission Control" -> "Displays have separate Spaces"
  2. Reboot (for the system setting to take effect)
  3. Make sure multiple external displays are connected
  4. Launch Ice and
4.1. right click the very top of the screen on a display not showing the System Menu Bar
4.2. hover over the very top of the screen on a display not showing the System Menu Bar

Ice Version

0.11.3

macOS Version

15.0
