GnoPool What does Pool in GnoPool mean? In many schools, a pool is an intensive period (Bootcamp like) where you code and learn a lot of things within a defined period of time.
Problem Statement and Solution
Currently, gno.land only has the getting started guide and docs.gno.land for the current users or even curious newcomers who want to discover this new blockchain. If people want to understand more, they have to go into the gno repo and dig around to grasp the concepts and how to use it.
The solution with Gnopool is to offer them a fun way to learn or deepen (e.g., for those who are already contributors) their knowledge of using gno.land by providing them with a maximum number of exercises. These exercises will allow them to grasp all the necessary knowledge before heading to the gno repo or contributing to a new one like gnovm.
Introduction
The objective of GnoPool is to create an interactive platform for both novices and experts to discover and use Gno. To achieve this, users (gnomes) will start with a basic exercise, then move onto a web of diverse exercises that they can complete in any order they prefer (depending on their needs and interests in the technology). A button will allow them to activate a colored path representing the recommended route to thoroughly understand Gno.
GnoPool will be accessible to everyone, and it could include a feature to offer it to schools as well. This will allow users to have their first interaction with Gno.land through a dedicated interface.
The idea is also to host events with a set duration, enabling users to create a mini project or a cool feature for the ecosystem. These users would then present their work to the core team.
Gnomes who participate in GnoPool will be ranked, likely in the style of “gnolove.world” (@zooma), and each will have a level score. They may also have the opportunity to receive rewards once they reach a certain level or complete specific exercises (this is still under consideration)
Our team discovered the student program, and all four of us received a grant. We believe we are well-positioned to propose an educational platform because we started Gno from scratch, and thanks to our school, we are well-versed in peer-to-peer work
If you wish, you can come and discuss the project with us 😁✌🏼
