Summary

Solus 4.6 Plasma causes error messages during initial boot from iso and also when booting installed media.
This may also apply to other builds of Solus, Plasma is the only one tested.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Select boot from UEFI source on computer
  2. Boot from Solus 4.6 Plasma iso (tested media - Ventoy, Etcher & DVD)
  3. Observe brief Failed to open \EFI\BOOT\ - Not Found error message
  4. At the desktop run installer. Check install option is UEFI & GPT.
  5. When install is finished Reboot when prompted.
  6. Observe brief Failed to open \EFI\com.solus-project - Not Found error message.
  7. Confirm continued boot to desktop.

Expected result

Initial boot and install from Solus 4.6 Plasma iso without error messages.

Actual result

When booting Solus 4.6 Plasma iso on a computer with Legacy/UEFI using the UEFI option there is a brief message Failed to open \EFI\BOOT\ - Not Found.
When using the installer the option to install as UEFI & GPT is not consistent.
If Solus 4.6 is installed as UEFI & GPT then during boot there is a brief message Failed to open \EFI\com.solus-project - Not Found.
Despite the error message Solus 4.6 will continue to the desktop.
None of this happened with the Solus 4.5 install but updating to 4.6 will cause the error message to reappear.

Please note this issue is with an older laptop with UEFI that does not appear to support Secure Boot.
