Cluster info unavailable: failed to get API group resources

I am trying to bootstrap flux and getting this. Any clue why is this message? Thanks.

✗ cluster info unavailable: failed to get API group resources: unable to retrieve the complete list of server APIs: apiextensions.k8s.io/v1: Get "http://localhost:8080/apis/apiextensions.k8s.io/v1": dial tcp [::1]:8080: connect: connection refused

Check command:

$ flux check --pre
► checking prerequisites
✗ Kubernetes API call failed: Get "http://localhost:8080/version": dial tcp [::1]:8080: connect: connection refused

You need add environment KUBECONFIG, like this for example

echo "export KUBECONFIG=/etc/kubernetes/admin.conf" >> /etc/environment
export KUBECONFIG=/etc/kubernetes/admin.conf

then check flux

flux check --pre
