Summary

What happened?
The eCFR links that point outside of the FEC's Title 11 jurisdiction are incorrect. For example, the link for "29 CFR §541.100" currently redirects to an incorrect URL: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-11/chapter-I/part-541/section-541.100#541-100.

What should have happened?
The link for "29 CFR §541.100" should redirect to the correct URL: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-29/section-541.100.

Frequency

This seems to be an ongoing issue affecting multiple links that reference CFR titles outside of Title 11.

How to Reproduce

  1. Go to https://www.fec.gov/data/legal/advisory-opinions/2012-02/.
  2. Navigate to the legal citations referencing "29 CFR §541.100".
  3. Click on the link and observe the incorrect redirection to Title 11 instead of Title 29.

Completion criteria

  • eCFR links are correct
(If we can't get this to work, we can just link to eCFR homepage)
