I want to utilize the benefits of the terraform-plugin-framework
so that I can support my users better

Provide a detailed description of the proposed feature

Hashicorp provides most of its material for the terraform-plugin-framework, and opentofu also suggests using this. As such we should switch to benefit from the larger number of users and the improved validation that is promised by switching.
