I’d like to discuss the potential benefits and challenges of incorporating serverless functions articulating that serverless is better suited for IoT and edge applications compared to VMs or Kubernetes.
This will enable developers to focus on innovation while leveraging the unique advantages of edge computing.
Telecos can offer that by proxying what their Cloud partner offers to their customers. like Cloud Function, Cloud run, Lambda, Fargate.... or by simply having their own Knative (EX) platform.
The serverless experience is a bit different than VMs and K8s and if the community welcomes this suggestion, creating a dedicated vertical for serverless architecture could help us better address the unique challenges and opportunities it presents.
