Based on different discussion, the recent survey run by @mlainez, ppl want helps to get more jobs in Ruby.

So beyond some discount for paying events, I see a few incentives for members:

  • if interested, they are listed. That list is shared with companies sharing job position opening
  • access to an event dedicated to job

@brug-be/ruby-belgium-board what do you think?

What do you mean by: ”access to an event dedicated to job”? Would it be a
jobfair? A place where people come to offer and recruit? Or...?

As I understand, it is more like a long-term strategic movement where you
convince people / startups / companies to go for Ruby when they choose a
technology.

Or did I get it wrong?

@toch I think we first need to define our different target audiences before proposing incentives.
Marc survey was essentially about people that already joined the community and we can deduce some incentive from this. But there are clearly new audience (like the rails girls or even broader) that we could propose smth to.
But we first need to list them and elaborate a profile like

And can start the work and/or collect some ideas from here.
