same problem

See the error displayed by SteamVR. If SteamVR doesn't even show anything in the preview window, then the issue is on the SteamVR side, not alvr. Also your gpu seems rather old for vr in general.

I doubt that a GPU that, at least in my experience on Windows with Steam Link, can render Half-life Alyx without problems, may be considered "old for vr"

In windows OS, it is easy to connect steamvr, the streaming is also easy through alvr. But it n ubuntu, its hardwork.

after reading linux_troubleshooting, I add command into SteamVR, the streaming became unstable.

also using nvidia prime render offload and had a few issues getting up and running. here's the full launch options i ended up using: VK_ICD_FILENAMES="/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/nvidia_icd.json" prime-run gamemoderun ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/SteamVR/bin/vrmonitor.sh %command%
also go into settings > video and force software encoding

if you're wondering about prime-run it's provided by this arch package if you're not on arch it's just a bash script (OP seems to have already added these options):

#!/bin/bash
__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __VK_LAYER_NV_optimus=NVIDIA_only __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia "$@"

also im on a newer driver 565.57.01 so maybe that plays a part if you still can't get it working in ubuntu
