Hi,
I've managed to get the project running on some esp32-cam (AI thinkerer) boards.
What I've noticed is that the grayscale images are very frequently taken with appropriate exposure/gain, but the stored jpg is frequently extremely dark.
I'm not sure whether I'm doing something wrong or whether the camera (driver) needs some time to adjust after switching modes?
Has this issue been seen before?
thanks!

Hi,
I have just had an experiment with my camera and the exposure/gain does have an effect on both the greyscale and colour image but the greyscale does tend to be lighter. I suspect this is that the camera is more sensitive when operating in black and white mode?
I do notice that the esp32cam boards tend to each have their individual quirks (faults?)
e.g. one of mine keeps having to reset the camera when capturing an image where as another one often has problems with the spiffs and has to re-format it...
