I think this would be a great project with a larger scope. There are external links in other apps that would be nice to validate once in a while.

This would be checking links in a data table. Are you thinking something that crawls links within app code?

more so a global place that we could "register" links that are used in our applications and get some notification when the link is broken so we can update our applications.
