When trying to make a commit, it seems that the abapGit plugin fetches the information somewhere within the eclipse project setup -- see screenshot below. Is there a way to control (configure) this?

Currently there is no way to explicitly set the user name and user email in abapgit for ADT.
Although while committing, the user name and email can be set in the abapgit staging view, which will then be fetched for every subsequent commits.
