It would be interesting to build dashboards for the size of the current peerset at least, and probably also to surface information about the user agents and versions of clients we learn about.

I don't currently know if we should do this entirely in the plugin or if CoreDNS has some kind of overall metrics framework already. It seems like it might: https://coredns.io/plugins/metrics/
