What's the purpose of the interaction counters in the feed document? Are the values shown in the UI? Are they used to try to weigh items (potentially from different content providers) against each other to determine prominence?

Related to #44, it seems there's a use case beyond simply displaying media recommendations that isn't covered in the explainer.
