a lot of missions on-completion assign a specific state to the entire field, which I've seen collide with other mods' behaviors of setting layer states of the field (such as Is Cultivated/Is Plowed from Slip Destroys Fields causing missions to become uncompletable). are there plans for CA-specific missions to sidestep this problem? ie: "Mission: Cover-plant field 45 in Off-season wheat for the next Oat crop"

That's an interesting idea. However, I currently lack the time for such a feature (I don't know anything about the mission part of the game, code-wise, and I would expect having to invest about 100 hours in research before I understand it enough to manipulate it, based on my experiences with the game's API so far).
Additionally, I'm waiting for the release of Farming Agency's TerraLife Plus mod which is likely to have some kind of feature overlap with my mod and which might force me to rework existing functionality in order to be compatible
