Consider adding a spans that match the event's table duration #3261

Event tables currently power the trace view within the FTL console.

OTEL currently reports traces and spans as well.

For what seems to be the same span, the duration doesn't match. It would be useful to include a span that would match the event powered duration.

I think this disparity might have been caused by #3240, and may now be fixed.
