I just started using the new Stremio Web with the stremio service and I am getting malware detection pop-ups every second.
Is this to be ignored? Because it seems so frequently.

When I go to that IP address I get this.

The port and IP seem to suggest that it is blocking torrent activity, either the download or upload to other peers in the torrent network.

Stremio only downloads video files from torrents, nothing else, so it is definitely some false positive or intentional torrent blocking.

Regarding what to do about it... That's up to you.

Okay thank you! Is it safer to use the web version or safer to use the desktop app when using torrent streaming?

Both of them are the same, running the same torrent engine locally. And as it downloads only video files and does not run anything that it downloads (only attempts playback), you cannot get a virus either way, so they are both completely safe.
