width of slides if less than perPage value

The issue I'm experiencing is with perPage and the width of each slide.

I have perPage set to 3, but if the number of slides is less than the perPage value, the width of the slides aren't equal to that value. I am expecting that the slides will still only occupy 1/3 of the space, but instead they stretch to the internal content.

What is the best way to ensure uniformity of slide width if the number of slides is less than the perPage value?
