JSON Schema to describe entities in distribution

When adopting the specification and parsing, mapping, and importing the schema in cross-platform applications, we would like a schema that reflects the entities in the distribution. Specifically, a JSON Schema would ensure that downstream consumers of the taxonomy can be assured that the data within the distribution matches expectations and adjust as necessary should the schema change.
