To use the same name for both dark and light themes, dark themes should be written in values-night/values.xml and values-night-v31/values.xml files. Otherwise things like this happens:

Execution failed for task ':app:mergeDebugResources'.
> /home/ripsivis/application/app/build/generated/materialThemeBuilder/debug/res/values/values.xml: Error: Found item Style/Theme.AppTheme.Blue more than one time
