In the PACK.xsd

Open-CMSIS-Pack-Spec/schema/PACK.xsd

Line 798 in dea6606

<xs:attribute name="public" type="xs:boolean" use="optional" default="true" />
it is specified that public attribute default value is true but that type is used for group DefaultDevicePropertiesGroup and also for type PartType, however in the documentation for /package/devices/family/.../book it says for public attribute The default value is false.
