For offscreen targets, it would be helpful to have an option to put an indicator on screen in the direction closest to the target. A couple options for this would be to have a simple 2D-layer circle at that edge of the screen, or alternatively a directional indicator like an arrow could be used. The arrow would be harder since the 2D element would need to be rotated to show the right direction, so I lean toward the simpler solution of a circle indicator.
This enhancement would be useful for experiments where targets could appear anywhere around the user, and are highly likely to appear offscreen.
